We can&#8217;t ask for more than that. We attribute\u00a0these results\u00a0to the presence of a\u00a0secure\u00a0infrastructure,\u00a0provision\u00a0of\u00a0suitable text books and good\u00a0use of teaching and learning\u00a0aids.\u00a0The results will be a\u00a0testimony and an assurance to\u00a0parents whose children are in\u00a0our\u00a0care\u00a0that\u00a0we\u00a0are\u00a0determined to provide quality\u00a0education.\u00a0We\u00a0hope\u00a0that\u00a0parents wishing to bring their\u00a0children\u00a0to\u00a0MEC\u00a0will\u00a0feel\u00a0encouraged to do so.<\/p>\n<p>In other school news, two of the St Nicholas Village children, Wisdom Kabwe and James Chininga, topped their Grade 12 class. Well done to both of them!<\/p>\n<p>Diji Mwale (Grade 6) and \u00a0Violet Mukumbi (Grade 9) represented the school in area writing competitions, with eight schools taking part. Both students achieved very creditable second places.<\/p>\n<p>We continue to receive a steady flow of visitors from government and non-governmental organisations. Recently we have had talks from\u00a0Mr Trinity\u00a0Haambokoma of the Anti-Corruption Commission and\u00a0Mrs Gertrude\u00a0Shinkanga,\u00a0the\u00a0Executive\u00a0Director for Youth Concern.<\/p>\n<p>In Chibombo district, Mwembeshi Settlement Village was the venue for a celebration of International Women&#8217;s Week, which was attended by over 500 people.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we remember the wedding of Bertha Kabwe, another of our St Nicholas&#8217; girls, to\u00a0Chewu\u00a0Syakatayi, who is a public\u00a0administrator. Bertha, who studied education in Solwezi, now works for the Ministry of Education. Our warm congratulations to the happy couple!
