The oldest of the settlement villages is at Kafue, where the farms are now well established along the cool banks of the Kafue River.
At Mwembeshi, Kalwelwe, Mwomboshi and Chisamba, schools have been established, serving about 1400 children.
There are also clinics at these villages. Mwembeshi and Kalwelwe have maize milling projects.
